Job Description
H&D Recruitment is hiring a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support smooth and efficient kitchen operations. This role involves assisting senior chefs, supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food quality standards, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs across all kitchen areas.
- Ensure smooth and consistent food production.
- Oversee stock purchasing, receiving, and storage.
- Maintain cleanliness across all working areas.
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff performance.
- Perform administrative tasks as directed.
- Ensure compliance with quality, quantity, and safety standards.
- Deliver high service standards to exceed customer expectations.
- Handle customer complaints, enquiries, and feedback.
- Support and mentor team members while resolving conflicts.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Ensure dishes meet portion, quality, and temperature standards.
- Assist with cleaning schedules and kitchen rosters.
- Prepare alternative items where required.
- Present and garnish dishes professionally.
- Maintain food logs and quality checks.
- Support recruitment and training of kitchen staff.
- Report maintenance and repair needs promptly.
